What does the committee look for when they select artworks?
-In addition to being congruent with the Nude theme, submissions are judged on originality, depth of emotion evoked, quality and technique. NN receives hundreds of works for review and selected works typically are edgy, explorative and unusual.
Do you have any tips to increase my chances of being accepted?
Yes. NN loves controversial works including political, religious and social issues in keeping with the nude theme. Works that make people laugh are always popular but equally, the disturbing and uncomfortable. Works with unusual materials are also attention getting. Attendees expect risk taking, so the committee looks for it and rewards it.

Can I volunteer for Nude Nite?
The Nude Nite event is professionally staffed all evenings. NN does need models for body painting and as subjects for the many photographers who are submitting work. Email NN for more information. Your best volunteer efforts can help by getting the word out to performers, artists and friends.
What kind of work do you accept?
You name it. The only limit is that it must meet the nude-themed criteria. You can communicate through traditional art, film, sculpture, metal, photography, installation, woodwork, fashion, performance art and 3D. Give it your all and stand out!
My work is not framed, what do you suggest?
The size of the piece must include framing so NN can plan the space accurately. Gallery framing is preferred and increases the chance of selling so frame for a mass appeal vs. framing for an individual’s home. Typically this is a black frame with/without a cream/white mat. Leave grandma’s gold frame at home. Some photography pieces are more dramatic in large format and NN may ask these to remain unframed but to be presented on foam board saving money on framing altogether.
What are my chances of selling my work?
NN partners with Q Gallery to facilitate the sale of your work. Together we handle the entire sales process. Three sales associates work the floor of the show to assist with questions. Once your buyers payment has cleared you will receive payment from Nude Nite. Usually this is within 7 days. Every attempt is made to introduce you to the buyer who purchased your work so that you may continue that relationship.
How do I promote my work at the show?
NN provides you the venue, visibility and the audience so the rest if up to you. Many artists stay near their work and strike up conversations with onlookers. Your artists badge distinguishes you. Others carry their portfolio and business cards to hand out. You will receive a custom email that invites your supporters to see your work at the show.
I want to create a work specifically for the show. In keeping with the theme, how far is too far?
- NN enthusiastically welcomes all sexy, erotic and provocative work. Artistic presentations are preferred over vulgar and pornographic.

- Of course. If accepted you can mail your works to be hung. Provide the show with mailing return labels and adequate packing materials and you or a friend can pick your work up on Sunday.
I am an artist, but I don’t do nudes. Can I still participate?
- Nude study is the foundation of Art 101. NN believes every artist has a nude interpretation in them and encourages you to stretch beyond the normal limits to create works outside your genre. This delights a crowd that is used to seeing a recognizable style associated with an artist. Shake things up a bit…
Will I have an opportunity to meet other artists?
- You can count on it! Over 100 artists! Most of the artists spend all 3 evenings at the event. One of the benefits of participating in the show are the friends, artists and clients you will meet.
Do you accept slides?
NN does not accept slides. A physical photo is easier to provide to jury members who may/may not have a slide projector. In addition, JPGs are also not accepted because of the administrative cost involved.
Is there security at the Event?
-Yes, NN hires two security guards for all three nites of the event. Should you encounter any issue at all, they will assist you.
Can I Photograph at the Event?
